Discussion on the topic “Man and woman” Problems of Relationships in Society”
04/24/2024 at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU named after. al-Farabi, 1st-year doctoral students organized a round table with 2nd-year students of the cultural studies educational program. The purpose of this event was to promote the universal goals of sustainable development adopted by the UN. Moderators Kh.Zh. Smagul and S.E. Bazasheva presented the purpose of the cultural event and provided information about gender, gender equality, as well as administrative and legal facts in Kazakhstan regarding domestic violence.
Aubakirov Madiyar, a 2nd year student of the cultural studies educational program, argues that the old standard qualitative signs (stereotypes) of masculinity and femininity still live among us and that these European criteria are not found in Kazakh traditional society.
2nd year student Burkutova Balnur described the characteristics of men and the changing image of women in modern society
Moderator S. Bazasheva asked student Diaz Becula to describe the image of a woman in her imagination. He said that he would like to see in his future wife such qualities as neatness, the ability to take care of himself and agreed with the opinion of S. Bazasheva that a man unconsciously looks for a girl like his mother as a wife.
Bayakhmet Aruzhan, a 2nd year student, said that nowadays fathers in the family have become more emotional, that is, they often use harsh statements in raising children.
Student Aubakirov Madiyar said that the level of the hormone testosterone in women is currently increasing6 as they perform hard physical work, which is typical for men. At the same time, students noted that among modern women there are increasingly those who are becoming more rational in comparison with the previous century.
Zhambyl Arailym expressed the views: “Since the characteristics of men and women in the traditional sense are now very complex, it is necessary to abandon old stereotypes and bring the entire system to justice by intervening as a society so that gender equality is effectively implemented in business, personal and family relationships.
At the end of the round table, the moderators explained the provisions of the new law, which provides for punitive measures for domestic violence.
