A forum of foreign students was held in KazNU
Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a forum of foreign students "My Future: I am yesterday. I am today. I am tomorrow", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU.
The forum is aimed at forming communicative competence, improving the level of modern language skills, developing skills of public speaking, discussion, polemics and speech etiquette.
The event was opened by the moderator - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Center "Russian Language and Culture" (Faculty of Philology, Al-Farabi KazNU) Saule Begalieva. "Today in this hall there are many foreign students who represent such countries as Japan, Turkmenistan, China, South Korea, Russia," Saule Bayazovna noted. - The theme of the forum implies personal development and evolution over time. Yesterday is your past experience and life lessons that shaped your personality. Today - this is your real situation, achievements, goals and dreams. And tomorrow is your future prospects, plans. This theme emphasizes the idea of continuous growth, self-discovery and development, formation of future professional qualities. The Forum allows us to unite our efforts for professional and personal development".
Bayan Joldasbekova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University welcomed the participants of the forum. "It is symbolic that our forum is held on the eve of May 1 - the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan. Our state is very tolerant, multinational, about what our President K.K.Tokayev always speaks. Yesterday the forum of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was held. In a number of these events the event acquires special significance", - Bayan Omirbekovna emphasized.
Then were shown specially prepared for the forum videos, in which foreign students, young teachers from around the world shared their stories of life and study in Kazakhstan.
The forum included a scientific and practical conference "Almaty in the world scientific and educational space", the results of the essay contest "The meaning of life - what is it?" were announced, and an interactive event "We are united by Kazakhstan" was held.
The event was attended by representatives of Al-Farabi KazNU, Abay KazNPU, Eurasian Scientific and Methodological Journal "East-West" for master and doctoral students, Patrice Lumumba Russian University of People's Friendship, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Samarkand State University, M.H.Dulati Taraz Regional University, A.Kuatbekov Peoples' Friendship University, University of Foreign Languages (UESU), International University of Information Technologies.
The Forum was organized by the Department of Russian Language and World Literature, the Center "Russian Language and Culture" of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai KazNPU.
