The joint efforts of scientists and specialists continue to study the flood situation in the West Kazakhstan region. In the city of Atyrau, the operational headquarters is actively assessing the level of threat from floods, attracting experienced specialists from various scientific organizations and higher educational institutions. Erdesbay Almat Nurbakuly - head of professional educational practice in the Module "Means and methods of hydrometric measurements", senior lecturer at the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology is also a member of this operational headquarters and is now in Atyrau.

Today, two groups of scientists carried out a parallel survey of the Zhaiyk River bed from the delta to Inder. They used boats and vehicles to examine adjacent channels and floodplains and took the necessary measurements. The main purpose of the survey was to determine the carrying capacity of the Zhaiyk River, its channels, and outlet channels in order to make an operational decision on the redistribution of flood waters.

Now all efforts are aimed at obtaining important data that will help to better understand and predict flood situations in the region.

Teamwork and collaboration among scientists are key factors in achieving this goal.
