KazNU discussed the prospects of psychology

The international scientific and practical conference Dzhakupov Readings "Development of domestic and world psychology: practice, trends and prospects" was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU and to the memory of Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Satybaldy Mukataevich Dzhakupov.

Famous psychologists and scientists from Kazakhstan, Germany, Netherlands, USA, Russia, South Korea and other countries were invited to the conference.

At the opening ceremony the participants and guests were presented an exhibition of books and presented a video about the life and work of Professor Satybaldy Dzhakupov.

At the plenary session, welcoming speeches were made by: Altay Kazmagambetov, member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Al-Farabi KazNU, Professor Zholmukhan Turkpenov, Professor of the University of Modern Sciences Amsterdam (Netherlands) Elena Garber, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor of St. Petersburg State University (Russia) Natalia Loginova, tutor, psychologist at HelGuard IT School Seoul (South Korea) Alexina Lee and others.

Speakers noted the achievements and great contribution to the development of psychological sciences of Professor of KazNU, Honorary Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Academician of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dzhakupov, who is the author of more than 500 scientific works, raised a whole generation of Kazakhstani scientists-psychologists.

As the organizers noted, during the conference there was an exchange of experience and advanced ideas in the field of applied psychology, discussion of issues of development of Kazakhstan and world science and practice, generalization and promotion of the contribution of researchers of 90-year history of Al-Farabi KazNU to the development of science and society.

After the plenary session, the conference continued in the framework of panel sections, where such topics were discussed as: "History and trends in the development of world and national psychology. Scientific ideas and psychological activity of Professor S. Dzhakupov", "Innovations in socio-psychological science: modern issues of sustainable development, challenges of time and solutions", "Practical psychology before the challenges of modernity", "Features of addictive behavior of persons with visual disabilities", "Modern psychological and pedagogical research and development".

The organizers were the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Department of General and Applied Psychology of Al-Farabi KazNU.
