Founded in 1973, Tsukuba University is one of Japan's leading comprehensive universities and is notable for its strong focus on interdisciplinary research and internationalization. It is among the top 10 universities in Japan. The university is located in Tsukuba, about 60 km northeast of Tokyo, and known as Tsukuba City of Science, the University has three Nobel laureates, reflecting a high level of research work and academic environment.
