Today, on 10.05.2024, the senior lecturer of the Department of Customs, Finance and environmental law Zhapakov Sabyrzhan Malievich together with his students congratulated the defenders of the Fatherland within the framework of the 16th SDG" peace, justice and effective institutions". Defender of the Fatherland Day is a state holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated on May 7. The tradition of celebrating this day dates back to 1992, when the president signed a law that consisted in the creation of his own army. Exactly 20 years later, the head of state made a decision, thanks to which today May 7 is a public holiday, which is officially a day off for all residents of Kazakhstan. This decision is due to the fact that in the country everyone who is somehow connected with military service is treated with respect.
