KazNU strengthens partnership with universities in Pakistan
For the purpose of collaboration the delegation from Pakistan headed by the Rector of the International Institute of Science, Art and Technology Gujranwala (Pakistan) and Chairman of the Board of Sialkot University Mr. Faisal Manzoor visited Al-Farabi KazNU.
During the talks the guests familiarized themselves with the 90-year history and activities of KazNU University. Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev told about cooperation with five universities and scientific institutes of Pakistan.
One of them is the Research Institute of Chemistry and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences of the University of Karachi. Scientists from the partner universities have conducted joint research in the field of bioorganic chemistry, pharmacology, and chemistry of high-molecular compounds. As a result, 15 RK patents were issued and articles were published in international scientific journals.
During the negotiations the parties noted the necessity of active mutually beneficial cooperation, which will allow to make one more step towards integration into the world scientific community. They also touched upon the issues of training of highly qualified personnel. Today, 40 students from Pakistan are studying in KazNU.
Focusing on the collaboration, Mr. Faisal Manzoor, Rector of Gujranwala International Institute of Science, Art and Technology and Chairman of the Board of Sialkot University, spoke about the activities of universities that specialize in such fields as: medicine, computer science, IT, humanities, social and natural sciences, and management, etc. The University is a private university located in Sialkot, Punjab (Pakistan). For example, Sialkot University is a private university located in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. The established university has eight faculties and has 10 thousand students.
In the end, the parties exchanged views and discussed issues on the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the coming years.
