Ties with universities in the Czech Republic are expanding

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Kazakhstan Pavel Shepeliak.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of partnership development, in particular, they paid special attention to strengthening cooperation in the field of education and science.

The delegation included Uzakbai Aitzhanov, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic, Petr Kubicek, Director of the Geographical Institute of Masarykov University, Cirad Khofr, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Masarykov University for Research and Internationalization, and Professor Milan Konecny.

Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev acquainted the honored guests with the achievements of the university and informed about further plans.

In his speech, the rector voiced a number of proposals to Pavel Shepeliak. In particular: realization of scientific projects together with universities of the Czech Republic, invitation of professors to KazNU in order to conduct leadership lectures and establishing contacts with leading universities of the Czech Republic.

In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Kazakhstan Pavel Shepeliak thanked the leadership of the university for the attention and expressed support for the above proposals for the development of cooperation with KazNU.

The parties agreed to systematically implement the works announced at the meeting.
