Organized an ecotour to the Altyn-Emel National Park

Al-Farabi KazNU together with the French Association XCSS-CROSS COUNTRY SKIING SAND and the National Park "Altyn-Emel" organized an ecological-sports tour to the big singing barchan of the National Park "Altyn-Emel".

The event was attended by: Consul General of France in Almaty Fabrice Neveu, Ambassador of Friendship of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in France Malgorzata Touar, ecologist-expert of the Public Chamber of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aizhan Skakova, President of the Association XCSS-CROSS COUNTRY SKIING SAND Estelle Peyen and others.

The ecological-sports tour is organized to raise public awareness of the evolution of climatic conditions in the mountains, the future of aquatic ecosystems and the need to preserve all natural areas (in particular, Altyn-Emel Park).

During the ecological-sports tour, the following actions were carried out: environmental action "March of Parks" to support protected natural areas, ecological-sports tour on the singing barchan "Skis on the sands", ecological action on garbage collection on the territory of the National Park "Altyn-Emel".

It is worth noting that the XCSS Climate Not Waiting is part of a global UN initiative to achieve SDG #3 - Good Health and Wellbeing, SDG #5 - Gender Equality, SDG #6 - Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG #13 - Combating Climate Change, and SDG #15 - Conserving Terrestrial Ecosystems.

The event aims to promote ecotourism and showcase the useful climate change adaptation potential of remote areas.
