KazNU staff and students will do internship in China

Teachers and students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will have an internship at Xi'an Jiaotong University.

This was decided at the meeting of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev with the Vice-President of Xi'an University Jiaotong Hung Jun.

Soon 10 students and 5 employees of the university will go to Xi'an. During the one-week visit they will get acquainted with the activities, scientific infrastructure of one of the leading universities in China. They will also exchange experience and knowledge with scientists and professors.

In addition, the administration of Xi'an Jiaotong University is offering

three-month and six-month internship courses for 10 doctoral and master students of KazNU. The Chinese university will also provide a special scholarship for young people in the amount of 1000 yuan.

Transportation of teachers and students will be paid by KazNU, and accommodation will be provided by Xi'an Jiaotong University.

It is worth mentioning that Xi'an Jiaotong University, founded in 1896, has more than 3 thousand teachers and 45 thousand students. The university cooperates with more than 300 universities and research institutes. The university is ranked among the top 300 universities in the world by QS WUR.
