KazNU scientists will conduct scientific internships in Singapore

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the President of the National University of Singapore Tan Eng Chee.

 

The parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in higher education and science, exchanged views on student exchange and other issues.

Heads of universities agreed to join efforts to expand partnership between KazNU and the National University of Singapore.

Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev urged the two universities to work together for the benefit of the development of university science and launching scientific projects in production.

In his speech Zhanseit Kanseituly informed Mr. Tan Eng Chee about the activities of the leading university of Kazakhstan and introduced its scientific infrastructure.

During the meeting Mr. Tan Eng Chee noted that the National University of Singapore is interested in establishing close cooperation with KazNU. Tan Eng Chee proposed to implement the exchange of students and teachers in the framework of the academic mobility program and specifically send young scientists of KazNU for training at the National University of Singapore for three, six and twelve months. In addition, the president of NUS emphasized that the most effective method of partnership is cooperation between scientists.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to systematically implement all initiatives and projects aimed at expanding the partnership.

The National University of Singapore is the first higher education institution in Singapore. Today, more than 50 thousand students study at the institution of higher education and more than 15 thousand employees work there. There are 16 faculties successfully working at the University. NUS has ties with more than 1600 higher education institutions from 40 countries.
