IV International Scientific Competition – Olympiad on International Criminal Law

Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation with the participation of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation named after V.Ya. Kikot and the Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee named after A.Ya. Sukharev held the IV International Scientific Competition – Olympiad on International Criminal Law on the topic "Genocide: new challenges and threats" among students of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries. The jury of the Olympiad included well-known Russian scientists.
The Olympiad was held for students of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.
To participate in the Olympiad, students registered by filling out a special form on the website of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation – izak.ru . The Olympiad was held in two stages: qualifying and final.
The qualifying stage was held in correspondence (remote) form from February 26 to April 26, 2024.
The final stage took place on May 7, 2024 at the address: Moscow, Bolshoy Kharitonyevsky Lane, 22/24, room 144, in person and by correspondence with the invitation of finalists who will be selected by the jury based on the results of the evaluation of the abstracts.
Igen Almira, a 3rd year student of the 312th group of the Law Faculty of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University, participated in the Olympiad on International Criminal Law on the topic "Genocide: new challenges and threats" among students of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries, passed the qualifying stage and performed in the final. She received the Certificate of the finalist of the Olympiad in the nomination "The best comparative legal research". Scientific supervisor – Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law at Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Kuandykov Kaldarbek Zhunisbaevich.
