A round table on the topic “What contribution can I make to promoting reforms in New Kazakhstan?”

On June 13, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science organized a round table on the topic "What contribution can I make to the advancement of reforms in New Kazakhstan?" During the round table, held with the participation of representatives of different nationalities, various pressing issues of our country, which is a multiethnic state, were discussed.
At the XXXIII session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the dean of the faculty, Beikzhan Berikbayevich Meirbayev, presented a report on the assistance provided by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to students affected by the flood, based on the issue raised by the country's president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, about overcoming the consequences of the disaster.
Gulnar Orlenbaevna Nasimova, head of the Department of Political Science and Political Technologies, highlighted the main political issues raised at the XXXIII session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and spoke about the contribution we can make from our side.
Gulmira Serikovna Abdirayimova, head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, shared her thoughts on the topic "Unity. Creativity. Progress" and shared conclusions based on social research conducted among students within the university.
Senior lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Candidate of Sociological Sciences T. A. Morozova, as a representative of another nationality born and raised in Kazakhstan, presented her report. Several questions were asked by students.
In general, during the round table, it was emphasized that one of our main goals is to create an environment in the university that does not allow discrimination based on nationality, language, religion, or culture.
