Visit to Medeu Gorge and Participation in Environmental Campaign by Hydrologists
Today, students of the Hydrology program visited the Medeu Gorge as part of their field practice. During the visit, they were introduced to the mudflow control structures and the operation of monitoring posts run by the State Agency "Kazselezashchita." This excursion provided future hydrology specialists with practical knowledge about important aspects of mudflow protection and natural hazard monitoring methods.
In addition, within the territory of the Ile-Alatau National Park, under the guidance of their instructors, the students actively participated in a cleanup campaign as part of the "Clean Kazakhstan" program. This initiative aims to implement Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15) – "Life on Land." Participants of the campaign made great efforts to clear the natural area of litter, demonstrating the importance of environmental education and protection.
We are proud of our students, who exemplify the importance of caring for nature and contribute to creating a clean and safe future for Kazakhstan.
