A book on international cooperation of SCO universities was presented in Astana
The presentation of the book "International Cooperation of SCO Member States in Higher Education" was held in Astana. This book was published jointly by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Xi'an Jiaotong University.
The presentation of the publication "International Cooperation of SCO Member States in Higher Education" was attended by Minister of Education of China Huai Jinpeng, Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Talgat Yeshenkulov, Secretariat of the Silk Road Universities Alliance, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebaev, Rector of Xi'an Jiaotong Zhang Lijun, Acting Rector of Astana IT University Serik Omirbaev and rectors of 30 universities.
The collection includes reports of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the SCO. The book also outlines the general successes and joint work of the SCO member states in the field of education and science, international cooperation in Russian, English and Chinese languages.
"The articles included in the book raise topical issues of international cooperation in higher education. Many universities have shared their experience in developing fruitful cooperation in science and education within the SCO framework. This book is the first, trial project. The Silk Road University Alliance Forum is planned to be held in October 2024. By this event we plan to release an expanded version of the book taking into account the results of the summit of the heads of the SCO member states", - said the rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev.
The book also includes articles by the rectors of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Moscow State Law University, Samarkand State University, Tashkent State Technical University, Tajik National University, International University of Kyrgyzstan, Belarusian State University, Xi'an Jiaotong University and other educational institutions.
The participants of the event looked with interest at the book, which raised topical issues of international cooperation in higher education.
