Rector familiarized with the progress of construction of facilities at the campus

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev inspected a number of facilities under construction at the campus.

First, the head of the university visited the Palace of Students named after U. Zholdasbekov.

Today the building is completely vacated, the old equipment in the Student Palace has been removed. After overhaul, the furniture will be completely replaced, stage curtains, chairs for spectators and necessary technical equipment will be renewed. The interior of the building will be done in a modern design.

Representatives of the construction company reported to the rector of the university on the results of the works being carried out.

Then Zhanseit Tuimebayev visited the sports complex and checked the progress of work on major repairs.

According to the plan, the two-storey building will create all the necessary conditions for free sports activities for young students. The external facade of the complex will be completely renovated, and courts for basketball, volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics and boxing will be built. Locker rooms, showers and gyms will also be renovated.

During the visit, the rector gave specific instructions to the heads of the industry, pointing out that in order to develop sports among students, it is necessary to create platforms for all types of sports.

In addition, the rector inspected the construction of a new dormitory and academic buildings on campus and instructed representatives of contractors to complete the work in a high-quality and timely manner.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev visited Farabi HUB, a supercomputer and robotics centre, where he got acquainted with the works being carried out here. Today, internal construction works in the Farabi HUB building are nearing completion. The total area of the centre for innovative development of high-tech projects and products is 5000 square metres. Here, centres of well-known foreign companies, laboratories, classrooms, conference halls, recreation areas, exhibition halls and canteens will function for research and development projects. 

Director of the construction company Abdigappar Sarsenbaev presented to the rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev samples and design of modern furniture, which will be located inside the building.
