Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an ‘Honesty Hour’ dedicated to issues of fairness, academic integrity and the formation of anti-corruption culture.
The aim of the event is to promote the principles of integrity in a just society, foster moral ideology and develop an anti-corruption outlook among the younger generation.
The event was attended by Kanat Salimbaev, Head of the Prevention Directorate of the Anti-Corruption Department of Almaty City, Sabit Suatai, Acting Vice-Rector for Social Development of Al-Farabi KazNU, Ualikhan Akhatov, Dean of the Faculty of Law, teachers and students.
At the meeting, held in the format of free, open dialogue, there was an exchange of views, questions and answers. Kanat Asembayuly made a report, noted the importance of forming values of honesty and integrity among students.
In his speech, Head of the Department Kanat Salimbaev spoke about the anti-corruption measures being implemented in the country, including anti-corruption volunteering, and also focused on the development of anti-corruption culture and legal awareness among young people.
The students were explained the ways of fighting domestic, corporate and political forms of corruption and were shown a video about the concepts of honesty and honour.
