Pre-defense of the thesis by K.B. Adyrbekova

September 27, 2024, was held the pre-defense of the thesis of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Adyrbekova Kamila Bolatkyzy on the theme "Genetic analysis barbels of genus Luciobarbus Heckel, 1843 from Aral-Syrdarya basin based on the variability of nuclear and mitochondrial DNA markers" on educational program "8D05104 - Genetics".

The research results aim to expand knowledge about the genetic structure of Kazakhstan's red and visible ichthyofauna and can be used in evolutionary biology (microevolutionary processes), population genetics, Systematics, comparative phylogenetics, and the issues of visualisation and elimination of ichthyogeographic laws in the basins of Central Asia, where the state has been expanded. 

The thesis also examines the aspects of the 15 sustainable development goals, "Life on Land" (SDG 15).

We congratulate Adyrbekova Kamila Bolatkyzy on a successful preliminary defence and wish her a successful defence in the future!
