Pre-defense of the thesis by G.Baratzhanova

September 27, 2024, was held the pre-defense of the thesis of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Baratzhanova Gulminyam on the theme "Study of organochlorine pesticides metabolism and mode of action" on educational program "8D05104 - Genetics".

The obtained research results expand theoretical knowledge about the mechanisms that cause the toxicity of organochlorine pesticides and their metabolites. The results obtained can be used to assess the health risks of people living in regions with high levels of organochlorine pesticide pollution, and the genetic polymorphisms identified in the study can serve as markers of predisposition to diseases caused by exposure to pesticides, which will allow for more targeted preventive measures and diagnostics.

The thesis also examines the aspects of the 3 sustainable development goals (SDG), "Good Health and Well-being".
