Opening of the zoological auditorium named after M.K. Djumaliev

On September 19, 2024, the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources hosted the grand opening of the named M.K. Dzhumaliev classroom (Makhambet Kazhymovich Dzhumaliev). The opening of the auditorium was fully sponsored by his son, zoologist Kazhym Makhambetovich Dzhumaliev.

Major repairs were carried out in the auditorium No. 3, intended for zoology classes. After the renovation, the room was equipped with modern exhibits, animal models, and wet preparations, decorated in an up-to-date style.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the university administration: Vice-rector for Science, Doctor of Economics, Professor Aitzhanova Jamilya Nurmatovna, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Kurmanbayeva Meruert Sakenovna. Veterans of the Department of Zoology, relatives of the scientist, employees of the Institute of Zoology, the Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity of Kazakhstan (ASBK), as well as students of M.K. Dzhumaliev were also invited to the event.

During the ceremony, reports were presented on the biography and scientific activities of M.K. Dzhumaliev, an outstanding zoologist.

The Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources expresses its deep gratitude to Kazhym Makhambetovich Dzhumaliev for his work and support in training young specialists, as well as the leadership of the university and faculty for their assistance in organizing this important event.
