Double-degree educational program Mechanics and Energy

My name is Zhansaya Aitkhozha, and I am a master's student in the "Mechanics and Energy" program at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This program has provided me not only with deep theoretical knowledge but also with international experience, which has been a vital step in my career.
After completing my bachelor's degree, I sought a program that combined practical skills with international learning. My academic advisor introduced me to "Mechanics and Energy," and after exploring its benefits, I confidently chose this path. I completed my first year at KazNU and prepared to continue my studies at the University of Lorraine, where I secured the "Abay Vern" scholarship, providing me with a monthly stipend of 800 euros, allowing me to focus on my studies.
The University of Lorraine is located in Nancy, a small but student-friendly city. I studied Reservoir Engineering and quickly adapted to the French education system. Experts from major energy companies in France shared their experiences and invited us for internships, which was an excellent opportunity for me.
After the first semester, I completed an internship at the I2M laboratory in Bordeaux, which deepened my professional knowledge and contributed to my personal development. Studying in France exposed me to new teaching methods and scientific opportunities. Despite initial challenges, I adapted, made friends from different countries, and traveled around Europe, realizing how vast our world is.
The dual diploma program in Mechanics and Energy opens numerous opportunities both in Kazakhstan and abroad. I aspire to gain international experience and contribute to the development of our country's energy sector, given its significance in the modern world. Therefore, I strongly recommend this program to anyone looking to broaden their horizons.
