Open Lesson on the Topic: "Cleanliness as the Foundation of Ecology: Actions for the Future"
On September 20, 2024, at 12:00 PM in room 12 botanical auditorium, Associate Professor Asem Tleuzhanovna Mamurova conducted an educational event (discussion) with fourth-year students of the specialty «6B05102 – Biology» on the topic: "Cleanliness as the Foundation of Ecology: Actions for the Future." The event was held in accordance with the schedule of the Roadmap of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, focusing on SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation, as well as SDG 13 – Climate Action.
Mamurova A.T. opened the event with a speech addressing the problems of environmental pollution and emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness as a core element of sustainable development.
During the event, students listened to several presentations on the following topics:
- "The Impact of Cleanliness on Health and Ecosystems"
- "Methods for Combating Pollution: From Local Initiatives to Global Solutions"
- "Cleanliness as a Factor in Sustainable Development: Examples of Successful Practices"
After the presentations, an active discussion took place, where students discussed various aspects of the importance of maintaining cleanliness to reduce negative environmental impacts and combat climate change. Special attention was given to issues related to public participation in cleanliness initiatives and the importance of educational programs to raise awareness about environmental problems.
During the discussion, students proposed ideas for developing cleaning and greening programs in Kazakhstan, as well as ways to engage youth in ecological actions. The prospects for implementing technologies and innovations to create a cleaner and more sustainable future were also addressed.
