Cleanliness is the key to health

7 october, 2024

As part of the implementation of one of the key Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) #3 ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’ announced by the UN, a clean-up day was organised at the University, where the faculty of the Higher School of Economics and Business took an active part. The event was attended by teachers and students of the departments of ‘Business and Technology’, ‘Management’, ‘Finance and Accounting’ and ‘Economics’, joining their efforts to maintain cleanliness and order on the territory of the educational institution.

The purpose of the clean-up day was not only to improve the university territory, but also to promote a healthy lifestyle, physical activity and care for the environment among students and teachers. The participants of the event actively cleaned common areas from rubbish, collected used plastic bottles and shrubs, which symbolises the importance of preserving ecology and greening urban spaces.

Such initiatives promote a culture of environmental responsibility and social partnership among all members of the university community. In addition, events of this kind strengthen the team spirit and interaction between students and teachers of the university, contributing to the strengthening of corporate culture and a favourable learning environment.

Such clean-up days become an important part of the university's social life and play a significant role in achieving the sustainable development goals aimed at improving the quality of life and well-being of all members of society. The principles of ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’, supported by SDG #3, are practically reflected in such active and useful initiatives as today's clean-up day.
