NINOMIYA TAKASHI GAVE A LECTURE TO SCHOOL TEACHERS

On September 27, 2024, Ninomiya Takashi (Tsukuba University, Japan), a visiting professor of the Department of the Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Farabi University from, gave a lecture at School No. 127 in Almaty on the topic "The use of the Kazakh language among foreigners in Kazakhstan". Ninomiya Takashi spoke about how he studied the Kazakh language at the preparatory faculty of KazNU and how he applies it in everyday life. The professor noted: "I was struck by the fact that the Kazakh people speak Russian and Kazakh languages perfectly, which are completely different in typology. Therefore, it is not surprising that I speak Kazakh." The professor proposed various methods and projects to increase the popularity of the Kazakh language among a wide audience. The teachers who gathered for the lecture asked questions about teaching the Kazakh language and had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the professor's proposals. Such events contribute to strengthening intercultural relations and mastering foreign languages; it also opens up new opportunities for cooperation in the field of education and recognition of the Kazakh language in the international arena.
