VIII Annual Meeting of the International Congress on Breeding, Genetics, and Animal Husbandry (ICABGEH-24).

25 september, 2024

The VIII Annual Meeting of the International Congress on Breeding, Genetics, and Animal Husbandry (ICABGEH-24) took place in Antalya, Turkey, from September 23 to 25, 2024. The Molecular Biology and Genetics department's staff participated.

The congress brought together leading specialists in genetics, animal breeding, aquaculture, and veterinary medicine. During the event, modern achievements, methodologies, and technologies were discussed, including genetic research and innovative approaches to improving the productivity of agricultural animals.

At the congress, PhD Kairat Dossybayev presented a report. His presentation on "Genetic Differentiation of Edilbay Sheep Breed" focused on analyzing the genetic differentiation of the Edilbay sheep breed using modern molecular genetics methods. The study involved assessing the within-breed genetic structure, identifying potential population differences, and analyzing the impact of selection factors on genetic diversity. The report generated significant interest among the international scientific audience and received positive colleague feedback.

The participation of the Molecular Biology and Genetics department's staff in this event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences with foreign colleagues and establish new scientific contacts, opening up prospects for future collaboration. The issues discussed at the congress and the presented developments are of great importance for enhancing research in Kazakhstan and implementing new solutions in animal husbandry practices.
