Cultural Heritage in Action at the Teacher’s Day Celebration
On October 4, 2024, a solemn gathering dedicated to Teacher's Day took place in the Red Hall named after O.A. Zholdasbekov. This significant event brought together educators, students, and guests to celebrate the achievements of teachers and the importance of education in our lives.
At the event, students showcased their creative abilities, performing various acts, including playing the national instrument, the dombyra. The performance on the dombyra not only became a highlight of the evening but also emphasized the significance of preserving cultural heritage. The audience was captivated by the performers’ skills and the opportunity to immerse themselves in the richness and diversity of national culture, strengthening the bonds between generations.
The celebration of Teacher's Day also provided an excellent platform for discussing relevant topics in education. The faculty dean, N.S. Doszhan, delivered a welcoming speech, highlighting the importance of teachers' work in shaping the future of society. He emphasized that educators play a key role in nurturing not only professionals but also responsible citizens.
Events such as the celebration of Teacher's Day play an important role in fostering respect for cultural traditions and promoting community development. They align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which emphasizes the importance of preserving cultural heritage and social cohesion, as well as engaging youth in cultural practices. Student participation in such events not only supports traditions but also contributes to the development of public identity and strengthens community ties, which are the foundation for creating a harmonious and sustainable urban environment. Additionally, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals underscores the importance of partnerships in achieving common objectives. The collaboration between educators and students in organizing such events demonstrates how joint efforts can lead to positive changes in the educational and cultural environment.
We take pride in our students and teachers who actively participate in the cultural life of the university and contribute to creating a harmonious and sustainable educational environment. We believe that such events inspire students to further develop their creative talents and deepen their respect for the cultural traditions of our people. We look forward to the continuation of such initiatives in the future!
