8 october, 2024

On October 8, 2024, a training seminar on the topic on the topic: "Gender issues in the context of the transformation of Kazakh society" was held  at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The organizers were Doctor of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law Kalisheva N.H. and the participants of the scientific community "Fair Law".On the eve of the discussion of the draft Government Action Plan to ensure the promotion of equal rights and opportunities for men and women for 2024-2027, the speakers prepared scientific reports on the stated topic and spoke to law school graduate students. The topics of the messages were diverse and relevant. These are the history of gender inequality, the concept of gender, women in traditional Kazakh society, gender studies: worldview and methodology, the role of the United Nations in improving the status of women, international documents on the protection of women's rights, violence against women, LGBD rights in Kazakhstan, Swedish Gender Equality Policy, etc. Gender inequality is an imbalance in development, which determines the differences between human individuals belonging respectively to two social groups called men and women. The specifics of the systems of thinking and lifestyle of people of these social groups give rise to two more concepts: masculinity for men, femininity for women. The main objective of this seminar is to show how the differences between the sexes and their relationships are considered in gender studies of Kazakhstan and some foreign countries. I believe that holding such training seminars and addressing topical issues of gender inequality are very important for educational purposes and in solving the problems of socialization of society in the New Kazakhstan.
