SDG-4 Students learned about the intricacies of photojournalism

As part of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the direction of "SDG 4: Quality Education", the Faculty of Journalism of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi actively uses the experience of both domestic and international experts in training professional journalists and editors. The Department of Publishing, Editorial and Design Arts regularly holds master classes with the participation of foreign journalists. On Monday, a meeting was held with famous photojournalists Phil and Elin Pasquini, the purpose of which was to inspire students to new achievements in journalism and share the unique experience of world professionals.

  During the lecture, Associate Professor, lecturer of the Department of publishing, editing and design art Mysaeva Karlyga Nakysbekovna introduced the students with special guests, after which Phil and Elin Pasquini told about the history of the photos they took and shared the techniques of creating a stunning picture. Obviously, for professionals who will become journalists, publishers and editors in the future, it is a great honor to listen to the master class of professional photojournalists.

  After all, we young people should not only restrict ourselves to domestic experience, but also rely on foreign experience. This meeting gave students the opportunity to ask questions and communicate with special guests.
