Foreigners receive quality education

This year, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrates its 90th anniversary. Of these 90 years, 32 have been spent in independent, new Kazakhstan. Over the years of independence, the university has not only maintained its base, but has also successfully developed and trained specialists in all areas.
A lot of attention at the university is paid to scientific work. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) has become a major scientific center. According to a survey conducted by the international ranking agency QS Asia University Rankings, the university ranked among the top 30 universities in Asia. This is the result of significant, focused work. The faculty members of the Department of Language and General Education for Foreign Students at the Faculty of Pre-university Education have made a great contribution to KazNU's achievements.
With the acquisition of independence, the Kazakh language gained the status of the state language, and the Russian language became the language of interethnic communication. Foreign students studying at the Faculty of Pre-university Education come from different countries: China, the USA, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, India, the Philippines, Afghanistan, and many other countries. They study both Kazakh and Russian languages. Over the years of independence, Kazakh language teachers have developed a methodology for intensive learning of the Kazakh language. The interest of foreign students in learning Kazakh continues to grow. Students from Japan and South Korea demonstrated their knowledge of Kazakh after studying at the faculty. They spoke fluently in Kazakh, presented scientific reports, and gave interviews in Kazakh.
The faculty members regularly hold student scientific conferences, encouraging foreign students to engage in scientific work. Foreign students not only study languages but also learn about the culture and history of Kazakhstan. Independent Kazakhstan has achieved significant success in the economy and earned a respectable place in the global community. All of this attracts foreigners. They strive to receive an education at KazNU because they know they will receive a high-quality education. After graduation, many foreigners stay in Kazakhstan and work at joint ventures.
The achievements of the country during the period of independence have shown that Kazakhstan has managed to preserve the best aspects of its past, create a new economy, and strengthen and continuously develop international cooperation with many countries in all areas of public, economic, and cultural life. We wish all the teachers of the Faculty of Pre-university Education and the entire university team new creative successes, prosperity, and peace.
