On October 3rd, an open lesson on the topic of "Gender Policy — Equality in Public Life" was held with second-year students of the "Geodesy and Cartography" educational program.

The aim of the open lesson was to explain to the students the meaning, importance, and role of gender policy, as well as its impact on society and the understanding of gender equality.

The goal of gender policy is to equalize the rights and opportunities of women and men in society, to ensure gender equality, and to eliminate gender-based violence. Achieving these goals is aimed at producing the following results:

  • Social justice: Ensuring equal rights and responsibilities for men and women, establishing justice in society.
  • Economic development: Increasing women's economic activity, expanding entrepreneurial opportunities to enhance the society's economic potential.
  • Political participation: Ensuring active involvement of women in politics and public life, engaging them in the decision-making process.
  • Education and awareness: Raising awareness about gender equality, eliminating stereotypes and gender inequality in society.
  • Healthcare: Ensuring equal access to healthcare services for both men and women, taking into account gender aspects.
  • Elimination of gender-based violence: Preventing and eradicating gender-based violence through the improvement of legal mechanisms.

The students were informed that the implementation of these goals contributes to increasing the level of equality, stability, and development in society. During the open lesson, students actively exchanged their opinions, and the discussion was productive and engaging.
