From October 22 to 24, the IX International Scientific Conference "Current Issues in Applied Mathematics and Information Technologies – Al-Khwarizmi 2024" was held at the National University of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. PhD students from the Department of Mathematics at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Murat Mukhametkaliev and Moldir Shazyndayeva, participated in this major scientific event, presenting their research papers to faculty and researchers from various countries.
The conference brought together scientists and researchers from India, France, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Japan, and other countries. Murat Mukhametkaliyev and Moldir Shazyndayeva proudly represented KazNU, demonstrating a high level of academic preparation and expertise in their respective fields. Their presentations received high praise from leading scientists, who noted the relevance and depth of the research presented.
The purpose of attending the conference was to provide an international platform for knowledge exchange, discuss current challenges and innovations in applied mathematics and information technologies, and expand international scientific cooperation. Participation in the conference is also closely linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular:
SDG #4 "Quality Education": Participation in the international conference contributes to improving the training level of PhD students, strengthening scientific connections, and creating conditions for knowledge exchange. The presentations reflect their contribution to advancing science and education.
SDG #9 "Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure": The research presented at the conference addressed new approaches in applied mathematics and information technology, which may form the basis for developing innovative solutions and creating modern infrastructure in science and technology.
SDG #17 "Partnerships for the Goals": The participation of KazNU’s PhD students in international scientific events promotes the development of global partnerships, the formation of a network of scientific contacts, and cooperation to address pressing issues in science and sustainable development.
KazNU’s PhD students expressed gratitude to the conference organizers for the opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge with international colleagues. Murat Mukhametkaliyev noted that participating in such a large-scale event was an important step in his scientific career, allowing him to strengthen ties with foreign researchers. Moldir Shazyndayeva emphasized that collaboration with scientists from various countries inspired her to pursue further research and make scientific discoveries that can benefit not only Kazakhstan but the entire world.
Participation in such events demonstrates the high level of training of young scientists at KazNU and the university's commitment to expanding international scientific cooperation.
