"The adopted declaration laid the foundation for Kazakhstan's future independence. With the adoption of the declaration, the sovereignty of the country was declared, the rights of citizens were preserved, a state budget was established, territorial integrity and independence in international relations were proclaimed. This act laid the groundwork for a new Kazakhstan," the speaker noted. He emphasized that Republic Day holds special significance as the day that established the foundations of our state independence, marking one of the initial steps toward political independence while preserving the national values of the country. The declaration defined Kazakhstan's international legal subjectivity, the right to protect national interests, and the possibility of introducing a national currency, as well as the establishment of state symbols, making this day one of Kazakhstan's important state holidays.
Participants in the meeting also recognized that Republic Day is a national holiday that proclaims the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, marking the beginning of a new era for our state, strengthening patriotic feelings among students and every Kazakhstani, and imposing great responsibility for the future of our country.
The discussion of Republic Day highlighted the importance of SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions for ensuring sovereignty and citizens' rights. The adopted declaration became the foundation for the formation of an independent Kazakhstan, illustrating how a legal foundation can support peace and justice in society. The participation of students in such discussions helps them understand the role of institutions in protecting rights and freedoms, which is crucial for the stability and development of the state.
Engaging students and faculty in discussing the significance of Republic Day contributes to strengthening public unity and cooperation, aligning with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. This event served as a platform for exchanging ideas and creating partnerships necessary for achieving sustainable development goals. Recognizing the importance of patriotism and responsibility for the country's future unites people and inspires collective actions aimed at building a better society.
