GUEST LECTURE WITH AN INDEPENDENT EXPERT, RENOWNED ECONOMIST MAKSAT HALYK

The Department of Finance and Accounting of the Higher School of Economics and Business of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a 10–day event dedicated to the "Day of the National Currency-Tenge". The ceremonial opening of this event within the framework of the  SDG 4 "Quality Education", the SDG 8 "Decent Work and Economic Growth", the  SDG 17 "Partnership for Sustainable Development" on November 5, 2024 at 11.00 a.m. the teaching staff of the Department of Finance and Accounting with the participation of students 1 st course of the educational program "Finance" began a guest lecture.

At the lesson on the discipline "Fundamentals of Financial Literacy", conducted by Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Accounting, Candidate of Economic Sciences Asilova Aizhan Sarsenovna, a guest lecture was held, which was attended by an independent expert and well-known economist Maksat Halyk.

During the lecture, topical issues of improving financial literacy were discussed. The goal was explained in a simple way in a lecture given by the public, with several specific examples of the importance and necessity of financial literacy currently for each individual. Based on the questions asked by the students on the issues of interest and current issues, feedback was conducted in the audience.

For the students, the guest lecture was meaningful, informative, useful, and touching. The teachers and students who took part in the lecture expressed their gratitude.
