Library is A Path to the World of Science

Оn November 12, 2024,   there was an event on the topic:  "Library is  A Path to the World of Science" was held at the library of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This event was organized under  by Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Turkology and Language,  Theory Tausogarova Ayauzhan Kairatovna and senior lecturers Kaybuldaeva Aksaule Zauytbekovna and Dossanova Albina Maratkhanovna for the first year of PhD  students majoring in Linguistics, in order to introduce them to the world of science and the possibilities of the library. The main goal of this event was to acquaint young people with the library's resources and support their scientific inquiries.

During the event, library staff provided participants with information about various literary sources, scientific journals, and electronic resources.  The participants also got acquainted with the library's modern technologies and learned methods for writing scientific papers and conducting research.

According to the chief librarian of our library, Gulmira Nurmankyzy Temirova, such events not only broaden the educational horizons of youth but also help develop their critical thinking skills. The library is not just a place for reading books; it is a true center for science and knowledge.

At the end of the event,  the participants expressed their desire to become regular readers of the library and selected interesting scientific materials for themselves. Many of them  promised to actively use the library's resources in the future to deepen their knowledge.

This event clearly demonstrated the library's role in opening new opportunities for students and encouraging them to engage in scientific research and education.
