The importance of national values for youth

On November 18, 2024, within the framework of SDG 17: Partnership for sustainable development  the senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Philology hedl an educational event with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Farabi KazNU. The event topic was : “The importance of national values for youth”. The event was held in online and offline format.

The students  divided into groups and prepared group projects on the topic: “Ancient  traditions and customs of Kazakh People”  in English.  Each group chose three Kazakh traditions or customs and made its description in English. It should be noted that the students used their own  knowledge about the tradition or the custom they chose that  were handed down to them from  their grandmothers and grandfathers. All the speeches were prepared as bright and colorful presentations and were published in Telegram Chanel: Dpeak Only English which was created by the teachers. During the event there was a discussion devoted to the significance of preserving national traditions and customs   for the next generation.  Along with the students of the faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Farabi KazNU  there was a student from Kazakhstan Zhexenbayeva Aliya, who is studying at Sakarya university  in Turkey  at the moment. She also took part in the given event. On the whole the event was held at a good level.
