The international scientific and practical conference "Derbisali readings" was held within the framework of the item "Partnerships for Sustainable Development" of the SDGs

On November 13, 2024, within the framework of the Partnership for Sustainable Development item of the Sustainable Development Goals project, an international scientific and practical conference "Derbisali Readings" was held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The conference was attended by Kydyrali D.K. – Senator of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Derbisalieva R. B. – Honored Veteran of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vlastimil Samek – representative of the UN Department of Global Communications, Lama Sharif K.K. – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Huang Xiaoming – Consul for Education of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, Mohsen Faghani – Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Huseynzade Anar Nadir oglu – Representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Almaty, Оtpenov N.T. – Chairman of the Spiritual Administration Muslims of Kazakhstan, Ahmed Hussein Muhammad Ibrahim, Rector of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur Mubarak, and many other prominent government and public figures. After the plenary session, where the honorary guests of the conference delivered a congratulatory speech, sectional work began, where scientific reports were read out in the following sections:
Section 1. The activity of academician Absattar Derbisali as a statesman and public figure, the experience and scientific legacy of training scientists, teachers, diplomats and orientalists for independent Kazakhstan
Section 2. Current issues in the study of the language and culture of the Eastern countries and written monuments
Section 3. Traditional and modern problems of history and politics, philosophy and spirituality of the countries of the East
Certificates, letters of thanks and conference collections were presented to the guests and participants of the conference.
