SDG-16 "Peace, justice and effective institutions"

On November 22 , 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD, senior lecturer Sabitova A.S. within the framework of SDG-16 "Peace, justice and effective institutions" met with students of the 11th grade of the Republican School of Physics and Mathematics.
The purpose of the event is to familiarize students with the goal of the 16th sustainable development "Peace, justice and effective institutions", its tasks, main indicators, and explanation of the importance of its implementation.
The speakers stressed the special need and importance of promoting the creation of a peaceful and open society in the country for sustainable development, ensuring access to fair justice, as well as the creation of effective, accountable and participatory institutions at all levels. It was also noted that school youth should be more aware of their rights and use them to participate in the formation of a fair and open society, resist corruption in society and abuse of power, as well as support organizations that help people and be on the side of defending justice and peace.
The students who attended the meeting asked the speakers questions about the issues they were interested in and received comprehensive answers to them.
