As part of the "Quality Education" direction of the Sustainable Development Goals program, an event titled "The Psychological Impact of Communication on the Development of an Individual's Social and Emotional Intelligence" was held.

    On November 25, 2024, at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of General and Applied Psychology organized an international roundtable titled "The Psychological Impact of Communication on the Development of an Individual's Social and Emotional Intelligence." This event was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and was organized by Professors N.K. Toksanbayeva, N.S. Zhubanazarova, and 3rd-year doctoral students Zh.M. Molbasynova and K.K. Sailinova.

      The head of the department, Professor Aigerim Kaziyevna Mynbayeva, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, opened the event by congratulating the participants and wishing them success. 

The roundtable began with a presentation by Professor Yucel Gelisli from Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey, who discussed the "Program for Developing Social and Emotional Skills in Students." K.B. Kalankhodzhaeva, a 3rd-year doctoral student from Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, shared her experience in identifying the characteristics of emotional intelligence in students with different types of functional asymmetry profiles. Professor H.T. Naubayeva from Zhetysu University, Associate Professor Sh.T. Turdaliyeva, Candidate of Psychological Sciences from M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz University, and Ph.D. Associate Professor A.A. Tolegenova from Nur-Mubarak University presented their research on modern strategies for emotional intelligence development.   H.T. Zhundibai, a teacher from Alikhan Bokeikhanov Secondary School in the Turar Ryskulov district of Zhambyl region, shared the results of her scientific project titled "Developing Emotional Intelligence in Rural Schools by Fostering Students' Critical Thinking."  Associate Professor Z.M. Sadvakasova, Candidate of Psychological Sciences from the Department of General and Applied Psychology, discussed modern approaches to working with individuals exhibiting self-destructive behavior.  The roundtable addressed innovative issues that significantly contribute to the development of contemporary education and science.
