An open lesson on the subject of «Excursion Studies»

On November 26, 2024, a lecturer from the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, Adilbay B.S., conducted an open lesson for 3rd-year students specializing in «Tourism» on the subject «Excursion Studies». The topic of the lesson was «Features of Conducting Museum Excursions».

The open lesson was held in the format of a competition. Students were divided into two teams by drawing lots and tested their knowledge through four stages. In the first stage, students recalled the knowledge gained in the subject through the game «Kahoot». In the second stage, they analyzed sentences related to museums and identified extra words, which helped reinforce new knowledge. During the «Questionnaire» stage, students answered questions on topics such as museum theory, museum terminology, the history of museums, and museums in Kazakhstan. In the final stage, participants completed a visual task by matching museums with exhibits.

Additionally, the open lesson was attended by the head of the department, R.M. Baiburiyev, the deputy head for academic affairs, S.A. Mominov, and the department's senior curator, A.A. Beisakhmet, who evaluated the quality of the session.
