The teacher of the Department of Language and General Education for Foreigners, Koyshybaeva Gulmira Sailaubaevna, participated in the NSLI-Y Language Teacher Training Program in Washington from November 18 to 21, 2024, and also attended the ACTFL Annual Convention and World Languages Expo from November 22 to 24, 2024.
The training featured interesting and relevant presentations on various topics, such as "Foundational Principles for Foreign Language Instruction in the U.S.: National Standards and the 5 Cs," "Proficiency Assessment as a Tool for Teaching and Student Learning," "Classroom Management Trends and Practices in the Language Classroom," "Differentiated Instruction in the Language Classroom," "Lesson Planning in the Language Classroom," and others.
Additionally, she had the opportunity to attend the ACTFL Annual Convention and World Languages Expo, the largest and most significant event for language professionals in the U.S. This event offers unique opportunities for professional development for language education specialists at all levels and for teachers of various languages.
