Classical and new in the practice of teaching foreign languages

The Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-University Education of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a three-day international scientific and methodological seminar “Classical and new in the practice of teaching foreign languages”. During the seminar, new methods and technologies of teaching foreign languages were discussed, as well as the effectiveness and influence of classical methods on the modern education system. The seminar was held jointly with Ankara Haji Bayram Veli University and Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University. The seminar was attended by teachers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, who made presentations as speakers. The main purpose of the seminar is to introduce new approaches to teaching foreign languages and to improve the skills of teachers.
