Dr. Ph.D. Saparbayeva Nurzhan Baltazhanovna took part in the summit on cooperation with Central Asia within the framework of Xi Jinping's "One Belt, One Road" initiative

On November 29, 2024, Dr. Nurzhan Baltazhanovna Saparbayeva, a Ph.D. and lecturer at the Department of Chinese Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, participated by invitation in the Central Asia Cooperation Summit held in Khorgos, China, as part of Xi Jinping’s “Belt and Road” initiative. The summit aimed to deepen regional cooperation and interaction, as well as to explore partnership potential in the areas of economy, culture, and education.

The summit was attended by representatives of the Almaty city administration, as well as prominent scholars from Kazakhstan (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Agrarian University), Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and China. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as infrastructure development, the digital economy, cultural exchange, landscape design development, and sustainable growth, resulting in agreements on collaboration.

During the summit, Nurzhan Baltazhanovna made valuable proposals on cultural cooperation between Central Asian countries and China, particularly emphasizing the importance of mutual understanding through education and language learning. This summit provided new momentum for multilateral collaboration within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative and opened new opportunities for the development of the Central Asian region.
