Students of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling visited D. A. Kunaev's Museum-Apartment with their Curator-Advisor
On November 30, 2024, first-year students of the "Applied Mathematics" program at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, led by senior lecturer Magira Nazymkhikmatkyzy Kulbay from the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling, visited the museum-apartment and memorial museum-apartments of the distinguished statesman and public figure Dinmukhamed Akhmetuly Kunaev. The museums are located on Tolebaev Street in Almaty.
The event was organized within the framework of the "Sustainable Development Goals" project under the direction "Quality Education - A Bright Future" and aimed at expanding students' knowledge about the life, contributions, and scientific work of D. A. Kunaev. Dinmukhamed Akhmetuly Kunaev was a three-time Hero of Socialist Labor, an academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, a doctor of technical sciences, and well-known for his significant contributions to the development of industry and science in Kazakhstan.
The excursion allowed students to gain deeper insights into D. A. Kunaev's life story, learn more about his personal and professional achievements, as well as his role in the development of Kazakhstan. During the visit to the museum, students saw unique exhibits, personal items, and documents that helped recreate the atmosphere of the era and appreciate D. A. Kunaev's significant contribution to the country.
This event was an important part of the educational and developmental work, fostering a deeper understanding among students of Kazakhstan's history and the prominent figures who contributed greatly to the formation and development of the state. The visit to D. A. Kunaev's museum-apartment was also a great opportunity for students to better understand the country's cultural and historical heritage, which is particularly important for their personal growth and formation of civic values.
