Students of KazNU Visited the Kazakh Research Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry Named After U.U. Ospanov
Today, second-year students of the "Ecology" program from the Department of Sustainable Development, Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, visited the Kazakh Research Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry named after U.U. Ospanov. This trip provided the students with an excellent opportunity to familiarize themselves with Kazakhstan's scientific achievements in the field of soil science and agrochemistry, as well as to enhance their practical knowledge. The excursion was organized under the initiative of Associate Professor B.E. Shimshikov and Acting Professor G.A. Mukhanova from the Department of Sustainable Development.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the institute's laboratories and witnessed the use of modern research methods and equipment firsthand. Scientists shared fascinating insights with the students on soil fertility, improving the quality of agricultural products, and addressing environmental protection issues.
At the end of the visit, the institute's experts engaged in discussions with the students, answered their questions, and provided information about the latest trends in agrochemistry. The students emphasized that this practical excursion would play a significant role in shaping their future career paths.
Establishing close ties with the U.U. Ospanov Institute is one of KazNU's key directions in scientific and practical education. Such events are organized to inspire youth to engage in science and enhance their qualifications.
