Prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia

The international scientific and practical conference "The current stage and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
The event was attended by: Chairman of the board – rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev, ambassador of Mongolia to Kazakhstan Dorj Bayarkhuu, advisor to the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev, Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kydyrali, professors and students.
Opening the scientific forum, rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted: "Mongolia occupies a special place in the field of international relations of our country. Relations between the two countries are dynamically developing in the economy, culture, history, education, science and other fields. Today, 167 students from Mongolia study at our educational institution. Only recently, the Head of State made a special visit to Mongolia, where a number of agreements were signed. At the same time, we have a lot of joint work ahead of us".
In turn, Mongolian ambassador to Kazakhstan Dorj Bayarkhuu noted: "There are historical, cultural, ethnic and everyday similarities between kazakhs and mongols. They are the result of the fact that the two peoples have influenced each other for centuries. Therefore, I am sure that our cooperation will only grow stronger".
"Today's event is an important event that brought together researchers and scientists, students and everyone interested in an in-depth study of the ties between the two countries. It is obvious that it will contribute to the further strengthening of historical, cultural and scientific ties between Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Cooperation between the two countries is constantly being strengthened in the spirit of mutual respect and support. A reliable and critical dialogue has been established between our countries", - said Malik Otarbayev, adviser to the President of Kazakhstan.
In addition, during the conference, participants made presentations on the topics "Archaeological and ethnographic research of University scientists in Mongolia: results and prospects" and "kazakh-mongolian ethnographic research" and discussed new directions of economic and social relations between Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
