The winter psychological school is taking place

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is hosting the annual International Winter Psychology School "Psychological Workshops: Foundations and Technologies of Integrative Applied Psychology - 2025" with participants from Almaty, Astana, Uralsk, other regions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Spain.
The Winter Psychology School was opened with a welcoming speech by Bekzhan Meirbaev, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science at KazNU, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, and Associate Professor. He noted that the tradition of holding winter schools has a history of over 10 years. "In January 2025, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will turn 91", emphasized the dean. "The tradition of improving the qualifications of specialists during the vacation period was established back in the 1950s and 1960s by academicians T.T.Tazhibaev and A.I.Sembaev. And today, we are opening yet another winter school, continuing this good tradition".
The following experts also presented reports: Head of the Department of General and Applied Psychology, Professor Aigerym Mynbayeva; international colleagues: Dr. Aline Garber (Netherlands, Germany), Dr. PhD Aidana Rizulla (Turkey), Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Professor Dilyara Rakhmanova (Uzbekistan), and Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Director of the Center for Psychological Technologies and Innovations, Associate Professor Fatima Tashimova.
The International Winter Psychology School is organized by the Center for Psychological Technologies and Innovations (led by Dr. Fatima Tashimova and Assistant Sharapat Sultanalievna), the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and the Department of General and Applied Psychology.
The program of training sessions includes masterclasses from: PhD, professor Aline Garber (Netherlands) on "Psychologist's Work with Orthopedic Patients with Chronic Pain and Post-COVID Syndrome Patients"; PhD Aidana Rizulla (Turkey) on ("Working with Panic Attacks"); as well as leading Kazakhstani psychologists and practitioners: Master's degree in Psychology B. Amirova on ("First Psychological Aid to People in Emergency Situations"); Candidate of Psychological Sciences Zh. Birzhanova on ("Personal Therapy in an Existential Key"); Psychologist, Director of the Psychological Center, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Zh. Rysbekova on ("The Karpman Triangle: What Is It and How to Get Out of It?") and others.
The event is being implemented within the framework of the SDGs: №3 – "Good Health and Well-Being", №4 – "Quality Education", and №17 – "Partnerships for the Goals".
