Education Development as the Basis for a Sustainable Future for Kazakhstan
"Kazakhstan enjoys high trust in the world and is called a "middle power". But this high status must be supported by concrete results not only in the foreign policy sphere, but above all by practical achievements in the field of economy, investment, science and technology." - emphasized K.-Zh.K. Tokayev, defining the main areas of work of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the near future.
One of the key areas announced by the Head of State at the expanded meeting on January 28, 2024, was the further development of education and science. The importance of this issue is not limited to the quality of educational processes, but covers broader aspects of national security.
As defined by law, a decrease in the level of education and intellectual potential of the country is among the threats to national security. This directly affects Kazakhstan's ability to adapt to changes, develop effectively and maintain competitiveness in the international arena.
In the context of rapid technological progress and global challenges, the country's ability to develop intellectual potential becomes the basis for its sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
The issue of quality education requires a comprehensive approach, including not only updating educational standards and teaching methods, but also the active development of scientific research, as well as the creation of conditions for the training of qualified personnel capable of solving the problems facing the state.
Noting the positive results of the implementation of a number of projects in the field of education, the President outlined the need to continue work on the introduction of mechanisms that ensure healthy competition, transparency and efficiency in spending budget funds.
