SDG-17: Otbasy Bank employees provided information to students on the «National Fund for Children» project

3 february, 2025

On February 3, employees of «Otbasy Bank», responsible for Almaty, came to our educational institution and provided information to students of the Faculty of History about the «National Fund for Children» project, which was legally introduced at the beginning of 2024. This project is a very important financial support tool for children and adolescents, the future of our country.

The purpose of the «National Fund for Children» project is to open special savings accounts for children and adolescents under the age of 18, thereby ensuring that a certain amount of funds is received from the National Fund every year. These savings will be used to provide children with future education, housing, and other needs.

The «Otbasy Bank» specialists who came to our university to provide information about the project paid special attention to students born in 2006. This is because these students will soon turn 18 and, if they study in a paid department, they will have the opportunity to transfer funds to pay for tuition, purchase housing, or other purposes. The purpose of these savings is to provide financial support to students and their families in the future, as well as to effectively use the funds allocated by the state.

Students of the Faculty of History asked questions about their savings and housing opportunities and received complete and accurate answers from the specialists of «Otbasy Bank». In addition, students who do not have a savings account were offered the opportunity to open a special account, and bank employees advised them on how to start and conduct this process. Students highly appreciated the information and explanatory work and expressed their gratitude.
