Modern Approaches in Legal Education: Professional Development Course for Law Faculty Teachers

With the support of the Institute of Professional Development and Further Education of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Academic Committee for Directions and Training was organised professional development course for the teaching staff of the Faculty of Law from 20 January 2025 to 31 January 2025 on the topic ‘Fundamentals of law and anti-corruption culture’, the course organiser is Doctor of Law, Professor A.S. Ibrayeva, the course volume is - 72 hours. 
The course programme included several modules covering theoretical, practical and analytical methods. The training was conducted in a mixed form (offline and online), which allowed to create convenient conditions for participation and attract a wider audience. The course consisted of lectures, where the trainees learnt theoretical fundamentals, as well as practical trainings aimed at solving specific problems. This combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills gave the trainers the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of law and analyse topical issues, applying new approaches through discussions. 

The faculty of the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labour Law took an active part not only as listeners, but also conducted several training seminars on topical issues of civil and legal science.
The aim of the programme was to form a high level of legal culture among the students, develop strong legal beliefs and skills to counteract corruption. At the end of the course, all participants were awarded certificates confirming their participation in the advanced training programme.
The Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labour Law expresses its gratitude to the organisers and all participants for their fruitful work. The course provided a valuable opportunity for young teachers and doctoral students to expand their knowledge and gain useful experience in the field of legal education and anti-corruption practice.
