11 february, 2025

On February 11th, students from the Faculty of Journalism at our university attended the State Academic Theatre for Children and Youth named after G. Musrepov, where they watched the tragicomedy "Forget Him..." by Russian playwright Grigory Gorin, which has become a classic of world theater.

This production was translated into Kazakh by the renowned writer Kudzhyrgali Toleuishov, and the stage adaptation was directed by the talented director Zhuldyzbek Zhumanbai. The modern theatrical techniques and the skilled performance of the actors enhanced the authenticity of the production, leaving a deep impression on the audience.

Plot and content of the play:

  • The story unfolds in the ancient city of Ephesus, depicting the trial of Herostratus, who burned the Temple of Artemis in order to leave his name in history.
  • On stage, the struggle between wisdom and evil, justice and betrayal, truth and falsehood is portrayed.
  • The performance encourages the audience to reflect deeply on human values and how one can leave a mark in history.

At the end of the performance, the students shared their impressions and highly praised the professionalism of the theater troupe. This cultural experience contributed to their spiritual development, enhanced their social and creative potential, and sparked their interest in the performing arts.
